HAL LEONARD PUBLISHING PRESENTS NEW WAY TO ACCESS SHEET MUSIC CD-ROM Sheet Music Provides Convenience, Value & Ease of Use

MILWAUKEE Hal Leonard Corporation is pleased to announce the NAMM release of its innovative CD-ROM Sheet Music series. Offering choices to please any customer, the piano/vocal/guitar sheet music discs are the Beach Boys (00451065), Motown (00451068) and Rodgers and Hammerstein (00631193), and new guitar tab CD-ROMs are Blink-182 (00451067) and Rock Guitar Tab (00451066).

These CDs work on both Mac and Windows platforms, and allow musicians unlimited on-screen viewing of dozens of hit songs, and the ability to print (via the internet) one copy of each song included. Thanks to the Sibelius® Scorch® technology employed on the CDs, musicians can easily: transpose any song to any key; transpose the solo line for 18 different instruments, all with piano accompaniments; and listen to the songs on their computer in MIDI playback. Simple installation instructions are included on the CD, which comes in a convenient 9 x 12 package.

Comments Hal Leonard Vice President of National Sales David Jahnke, The beauty of these products is that musicians can get exactly what they want out of the songs included, and create a custom product according to their specific needs. If a pianist wants 10 songs in the key of D, and 20 others transposed for alto sax, it’s all just a mouse click away.

These CDs are also a great value for what you get, which in most cases is hundreds of pages of music, plus extras. In the Rodgers & Hammerstein product, for instance, not only is there sheet music for 122 songs, there is also a biography of the composers, and facts about each of the shows, says Jahnke.

Titles in the CD-ROM Sheet Music series retail for $29.95 each, and more new releases are planned for later in 2003.
