The famed composer and pianist will conduct master classes and lecture as a part of the Film Scoring Department's Visiting Artist Series.

During Rosenthal's master class, senior level students will have the opportunity to submit their own score for a dramatic TV movie for comment and discussion with him. The composer will also attend several film scoring and composition classes each day.

Rosenthal has created over a 100 scores for film and TV. His original score for the film version of Becket and his adaptation of Man of La Mancha were both nominated for Academy Awards. Other notable films he has scored are A Raisin in the Sun , The Miracle Worker, and The Island of Dr. Moreau . Mr. Rosenthal is an Eastman Music graduate who studied under the tutelage of Nadia Boulanger in Paris.
